a graphic tool widely used in project management for planning and scheduling work, setting out tasks and the time periods within which they should be completed. The Gantt chart looks like a lateral bar chart and was initially developed by Henry Gantt during the 1900s. It is still used both in its traditional form and in the evolved form of program evaluation and review technique.
